Everything you always wanted to know about Pods but were afraid to ask.

When I started dabbling in WordPress in 2009 I tried out Pods, and I couldn’t wrap my head around it, because I didn’t know what I was doing. Then I got into Custom Post Types and never came back.

But Pods is still going strong, and many people use it instead of plain CPT’s. I wanted to know why, so I had a conversation with Scot Kingsley Clark, the lead developer of Pods for lo these many years.

I learned a lot about Pods itself, but also what it’s like to lead an open source project for more than a decade. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did.
