WordPress Photos Project Work, April 2026

Photos work this month was pretty routine. I moderated 30-40 “flagged” photos, none were actually objectionable. I moderated a bunch of normal photos as well.

I’ve begun a conversation with Nicholas Garofalo from Automattic about how members of the Photos channel on Slack might be able to help process photos from WordCamps. We already have a video team that processes the videos, but the photos often languish unprocessed because there are so many of them, and so few people. I’m excited to see where that goes.

This month I found a new favorite photographer, sebascordero15. They do wonderful avian photography. The featured image on this post is from them. I highly recommend you check out the photos.

As always, many thanks to Kinsta for their support in this venture!
